England in Driver's seat

England are on top after an attritional day 2. They bowled out Sri Lanka for 275 with the last 4 wickets falling for just 37 runs today. Swann was the wrecker in chief with 4 wickets while Anderson took 3. The openers then made sure that the hard work of the bowlers did not go unrewarded. Skipper Strauss and Cook batted with extreme caution, cut out on risks to add 122 runs for the 1st wicket. Dilshan broke through to remove Strauss but Cook and Trott ensured that England ended the day without any further damage. The visitors ended the day at 154/1, trailing by just 121 runs. The track has become progressively better as the day wore on.
